Lisa Biancalana-Marsh, DNP, APRN-FPA, FNP-BC, TNS is a highly respected figure in the medical community, renowned for her leadership, mentorship and clinical judgement. She is a dedicated, compassionate, multilingual, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with Full Practice Authority. Dr. Lisa's expertise span various medical domains in nursing and as an advanced practice provider including Trauma, Emergency Medicine, Women's Health, Internal Medicine, Ambulatory and Urgent Care, Addiction Medicine and Mental Health. 



She became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2014 through her Master's in Nursing Degree from Olivet Nazarene University and holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Frontier Nursing University (2019). She is currently near completion of her Psychiatric and Mental Health training with the University of Cincinnati to become a Double Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She is also engaged in the Finley Psychoanalytic/Psychotherapy Fellowship to further her expertise in Psychodynamic Treatment Modalities.



She completed advanced Medication Assistance Training and participated in the Opioid Use Disorder Treatment ECHO Fellowship at Rush University. She is passionate about Opioid Addiction and providing new alternatives to sobriety. Reflecting on over 30 years as a quality health care provider, she is able to diagnose, treat and manage complex health conditions and comorbidities while providing post-acute skilled care to patients presenting diverse medical problems and emergent health care issues.



As a Master Educator and Academic Administrator, she is deeply involved in nursing education, serving as an Associate Professor, Mentor and as the DNP Department Chair and Program Director at Oak Point University. She holds a Post Master’s Nurse Educator Certificate from the University of Texas El Paso.



She is the voice of Doctoral Education and hosts speaking engagements to mentor nurses in the Chicagoland area looking to advance their career as an advanced practice provider and through nursing leadership by obtaining their DNP degree. Her practice offers clinical opportunities and educational training for advanced nursing practice students and new graduates. 



As a cancer survivor herself, Dr. Lisa's personal journey fuels her passion for an integrative approach to psychiatric and mental health, inspiring her to connect with patients on a deeper level. Through her own self-healing process, she discovered the many benefits of functional and wholistic medicine and advanced integrative health modalities.



Throughout her illustrious career, Lisa has earned numerous certifications and accolades, including membership in prestigious nursing societies. Known affectionately as "Dr. LBM" by colleagues and students, she's recognized for her transformative impact on nursing education and patient care. As a mother of three boys, Lisa cherishes her role in not only nurturing them but in mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals and shaping the future of nursing practice in a diverse and inclusive educational environment.
